"PISTOL PACKIN' PAULA" FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS

Benefit at Bison Museum Aides Injured Western Performer

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona – April 24, 2008 - The Bison Museum in North Scottsdale hosted a fundraiser on Saturday evening, April 19th to benefit injured Western performer and World Champion Lady Six Gun Spinner, Paula Saletnik, better known as “Pistol Packin’ Paula”. Paula was severely injured in an automobile accident on January 10th of this year.

The Western themed benefit was quite a success. Though donations are still coming in, several thousand dollars have already been raised to aide the injured Western star in paying her medical bills.

“Pistol Packin’ Paula” was in attendance, making her first public appearance since the accident.  In an emotional moment at the start of the live auction, Paula appeared on stage, put aside her crutches and slowly walked to the microphone to address the crowd.

Most of the patrons were dressed in Western persona. From John Wayne to Wyatt Earp, from Gabby Hays to Johnny Ringo, the patrons enjoyed a wonderful evening of socializing and entertainment. Curiously, sightings of agent 007 (Sean Connery of course) and Deputy Barney Fife were also noted.

If you were unable to make it out to the event, there will be a second Pistol Packin’ Paula Fundraiser. It will be held on the west side at the C.J.S. Film Studios, date to be determined. For more information on that future event, or to make a donation to the Paula Saletnik Medical Fund, please contact Tammy Youngs at tlyoungs@cox.net or call 480-703-6702.

The fundraiser was presented by Buck Montgomery of DR Buck Productions, longtime associate and friend of “Pistol Packin’ Paula”, and by Gary Martinson, owner of Bison Museum and Bison Homes.

Thank you to everyone who pitched in to help make this event a success, and for helping “Pistol Packin’ Paula” to get back in the saddle again.
