Since establishing its Arizona operations in 1980, Bison Homes has developed a solid reputation as a leader in providing its resort lifestyle homes to empty nesters, young professionals, seasonal residents, investors and other second home buyers.  Other real estate experience includes office developments, retail centers, luxury rental communities, a health and fitness club, unimproved land investments and turn-key development and construction services for select third party clients.

Most people in today's new home market are seeking the home of their dreams--a dream all too often defined by "maximization" of things like square footage, trendy features and lot size.  Absorbed in the search for certain physical attributes, they lose sight of how the responsibilities of owning that home might affect the other areas of their lives.  Shortly after moving in, they find themselves consumed with maintenance items, a project list and the overall daily attention required of their new home. Their house becomes the one thing they are living for, and they realize how little time they have left to genuinely enjoy life. Bison Homes' ongoing objective is to design and deliver the ultimate in Arizona resort lifestyle to each of its buyers.

"Our individual living units are very carefully designed to reflect the casual, maintenance-free lifestyle for which we are known," principal Gary Martinson notes. Bison Homes' designs are the result of listening to what the buyers are saying and reflecting those ideas in subsequent communities. Past, Present & Future
 

Bison Homes is a family owned operation that traces its roots to North Dakota, where owner Gary Martinson learned the construction business from his father, a carpenter by trade. Gary built his first homes in 1970, and grew his company to become one of the largest homebuilders in that state. Seeking longer-term opportunities for more significant and sustained growth, Gary moved his base of operations to the warmer climate and more favorable economic environment of Arizona in the early 1980s. Since that time, Gary has built more than 1,800 new homes and has been involved  in the development of over a quarter million square feet of commercial projects.

After many years of success in the Fountain Hills residential market and fine tuning its popular resort lifestyle concept, Bison Homes expanded its market to North Scottsdale and Tucson's Oro Valley. The Company proceeded to expand into other select Arizona sub-markets, and eventually settled in to the White Mountains as its favorite location for offering its resort communities.

Bison Homes is proud of its past, diligent with the present and confident about its future.  Commenting on the reasons for the Company's success, Gary Martinson states: "We listen to our buyers.  We avoid competition. “Bison Homes” is a marketing brand name and legal trade name authorized for joint use by specific affiliated and/or non-affiliated independent legal entities operating under contractual arrangements to collectively provide certain homebuilding, home and/or lot sale, and rental services. Marketing is by Bison Homes, LLC. Selling/listing agent is Bison Realty, LLC (Gary A. Martinson, Designated Broker). Construction contractor for new construction is Cambric Construction, LLC (AZROC #255621). For new home purchases, Buyer must be provided a Subdivision Disclosure Report issued by the Arizona Department of Real Estate prior to purchase. Only lot reservations or conditional sales contracts will be taken if such report has not yet been issued. Subdivider varies by Subdivision.
